I am hooked on Pinterest, if you have been following me for the past couple of months you know this very well. Today is my bosses and my good friend at work birthdays. They are both guys and turning the same age, it’s crazy! We always do something awesome for their birthday lunch, so I figured I would bake them something. They both love sweets, and I love to bake so it’s a win win in my book! I have 42 recipes on my Recipe Board that I can’t wait to try, I was planning on baking 3 different items but ran out of a very important ingredient… flour I will just bake them on Friday or sooner if I can get to the store after work at a descent time.
The recipe I made today was mind boggling easy, it just takes time.
Triple Layer Pretzel Brownies from Lisa Maier Hutchinson
3 cups crushed pretzels
3/4 cup butter, melted
3 Tbsp. sugar
Combine in a small bowl & press into an ungreased 13 x 9 baking dish. Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes
Prepare a brownie mix of choice according to box directions. Pour over prepared crust & bake for 35-40 minutes (do not over-bake) * I used Betty Crocker’s Milk Chocolate mix it doesn’t have HFCS in it. **I baked it according to the box not what is above and they were perfect in 24 mins.
Melt 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips in 1/2 cup peanut butter in microwave. stir until smooth. Spread over top of baked & cooled brownies.
DONE! How easy is that!?!
