Breakfast adventures!

Baked Cherry Oatmeal cups by Heather's Dish

Yesterday I was all excited to stay up late and work the blog along with reading one of my favorite authors Susan Elizabeth Phillips. Instead I got super tired and fell asleep by 9:30pm! I was so upset this morning, but got tons of stuff done so far today.

I made the Baked Cherry Oatmeal Cups by Heathersdish, that is her picture above. I don’t have a camera at the moment since Jrod is using it for his photography class. They are amazing! I am thinking closer to summer I am going to make them with pineapple in them instead. I also made Jrod homemade potato pancakes, they are good but we didn’t have any applesauce which is always key. Don’t worry I fixed that situation when we went to Target today.

I had posted earlier this week about Steph’s bake sale for Team In Training and I had bid on three items. I won!! I will be getting Cherry White Chocolate Oatmeal Cookies by Carolyn of All Day I Dream About Food. Do you see the theme that is happening this week :) I am in a cherry/oatmeal kind of mood! We were out and about a good chunk of the day looking for lamps to go with all the new furniture coming in two weeks for the living room. I am so happy to say that we found them at this amazing Mom and Pop lighting store. I don’t know about you but I really like buying from small stores more than big stores.

My goal for the rest of the weekend is doing all the wash, vacuuming down stairs (we let Chi be wild kitty today), and making Banana Chocolate bread. Though I am now thrown for a loop because while leaving a comment on Heather’s blog about oatmeal cups I found Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies!!! What the WHAT!!! It’s from Sweet peas kitchen.

What do you have planned for the rest of the weekend?
